Role: Engineering Manager
What I do: As Engineering Manager I am responsible for defining the project’s optimum technical solution in alignment with the overall project objectives.
What I like about my role: The depth and breadth of the engineering areas covered is really appealing specially when considering the constant technological development the industry is going through. The interactions with the project team members across all the functions is as well really rewarding.
What drives me: Contributing to addressing some of the key issues we face as a society.
My career path: I studied Civil Engineering in Spain and in the UK. A chartered engineer with the Institution of Civil Engineers since 2014 I have worked on highway, nuclear projects before moving to offshore wind projects in 2012.
What attracted you to ODOW: Being part of a development from the early stages and therefore the opportunity to shape the key technical considerations. ODOW is also part of the next generation of offshore wind projects in UK waters where the newest and most efficient technologies will be implemented to support the deployment of the much-needed renewable energy.
