Role: Junior Project Engineer

Employer: TotalEnergies

What I do: As Junior Project Engineer, I am responsible for coordinating cross-package works and supporting the engineering team in the definition of the concepts to be developed forward and the delivery of engineering studies.

What I like about my role: As I am covering a wide range of topics, every day is very different and I am learning a lot on all the different technical packages but also on the link between engineering and consenting.

What drives me: Having a small impact on the deployment of clean energy.

My career path: Having graduated in Engineering in 2021, I was keen to apply my knowledge in the renewable energy sector, most especially in offshore wind due to the high complexity of the projects and the positive impact I could have on the energy transition. I joined the team in October 2021 firstly on a part-time basis while completing a second MSc in Energy Policy, before switching to full-time.

What attracted you to ODOW: It is a great opportunity to start a career in offshore wind in terms of the variety of the people met in a project team and their willingness to share their knowledge. Furthermore, the engineering team is very dynamic and is very diverse in terms of backgrounds, nationalities and gender which offers a thriving working environment.
