Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind will be one of the UK’s largest offshore wind farms upon completion generating enough renewable electricity equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of over 1.6 million households, playing a critical role in achieving the UK Government’s ambition to deliver 50 GW of offshore wind by 2030 and to achieve net zero by 2050.
In addition to bolstering UK Energy security and reducing emissions, it is estimated that billions will be spent in the UK over the lifetime of the Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind project, along with the creation of thousands of skilled UK-based jobs during the construction phase and hundreds of jobs for the 30+ years of operations.
Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind will be developed jointly by TotalEnergies, Corio Generation (part of the Green Investment Group) and Gulf Energy Development.
